Scientific Talks at RWTH Aachen during the AI Week 2023
The RWTH is one of Germany's leading universities in AI. Experts and pioneers are delivering world-class research in methodological AI. The strong application disciplines that the RWTH is known for are closely integrated and enable a domain-specific development of AI methods and algorithms and a transformation of research into real-life applications.
Join us on Wednesday and Thursday, 27 & 28 September, if you’d like to learn more about the cutting-edge AI research we are conducting at RWTH Aachen University. The talks will be taking place in Forum M (Buchkremerstr. 1-7) from 10am to 2pm. A registration is required (see below).
AI experts and curious, interested laypeople, students and/or prospective students are invited to attend various scientific presentations on the topics of AI. All talks are devoted to showcase the progress of AI research at RWTH, to connect experts in different fields, and to exchange knowledge to find synergies for future projects.
There will be two parallel tracks: Foundations of AI and Real-world Impact of AI.
Leading researchers in Foundations of AI such as Joost-Pieter Katoen, Bastian Leibe, Abigail Morrison, and Sebastian Trimpe will present on topics such as Dependable AI, Computer Vision, Neuro-inspired AI, and Save Learning. Domain experts, for example, Peter Boor, Martin Erdmann Gabriele Gramelsberger and Julia Kowalski will give examples of how AI is used in different fields such as medicine, physics, gaming industry, and the engineering response to climate change.
