AI Week 2023: a week full of innovations, discoveries and inspirations

For the second time, the RWTH AI Center will organize the AI Week in Aachen. This time: bigger, greater, and more interactive.

 

The AI Week 2023 will take place between 25 and 29 September 2023. Aachen will become an AI Hub, with every day events for researchers and scientists, industry, and the general public. In other words: A week full of innovations, knowledge exchange, networking, discoveries, inspirations, and amazement.

A grand opening ceremony with prominent guests and artistic acts, excellent scientific talks, interactive discussions on hot topics and a family day are some of the highlights. Even Aachen's cinemas will show movies related to AI. All activities and events are free of charge, yet for some satellite events fees might apply (e.g. cinemas). Most of the events do not require a registration, except for some selected activities where the number of participants is restricted due to the location.

The detailed agenda can be found on the AI Week web page. But in a nutshell, scientists and researchers from RWTH will showcase their state-of-the-art work and scientific progress on AI. Moreover, they will have the opportunity to share their achievements with the industry and general public. The industry will actively participate in knowledge exchange and demonstrate the advancements of AI in different application areas. The citizens of Aachen will have the unique opportunity to experience AI through interactive discussions and hands-on activities. There will be activities for children; talks for younger students on careers in AI; presentations by industrial key players on how they use AI; lectures for AI experts, those to be, and laypeople on what AI is, where and how it is used; and outlook on the future of AI discussed between experts and representatives from different fields. In short, there will be something for every age category and state knowledge.
